After quite a bit of discussion amongst the Leadership and DRoA Congress, the following rule will become effective on August 1, 2009.

Quote:

  1. Members must participate in the alliance. Forum posts, chat, in game pms etc (You don't have to do all of them but at least one).
    • Members that are unable to do so, are required to inform us of their unique situation. (Although the Forum may be your primary mode of communication)
  2. If a member is crashed, DRoA will help them learn from the mistake if one was truly made (excluding extraneous circumstances). DRoA will remember that this is a game first and foremost. We understand that attacking and being attacked is part of this game, however we look down on DRoA being the target.
  3. If you don't participate in the alliance AND you're repeatedly HOF'd (20% debris field) or Attacked resulting in 70% of your fleet points being lost and the determining cause is the same for three times, then you'll be removed from the alliance. Again, extraneous circumstances excluded.

Rule Clarification:

  • Each posted CR/HOF will be reviewed on a case by case basis by the DRoA Congress and the DRoA Leaders. If a pattern can be distinguished, then remedial action will be taken.
  • If we notice a significant fleet point reduction, we will contact you to ensure that everything is ok. If we are unable to contact you for a period of time, you may be temporarily removed, however you are welcome to reapply.
  • Moonshot attempts or Moonshot accounts are excluded from this rule.
  • Sacrificing your fleet for a Razor Mission is excluded from this rule. (These missions must be approved by Raven74)
  • While yes there are ways to avoid each situation, things do happen that you can't control. In each case we'll look at these a little more closely.

Ninjas: Ninja's are avoidable, although there are certain circumstances that can occur that even if every precaution is made, it still results in a ninja.

Return Attacks: Getting attacked on the return is something while usually avoidable via use of moons, it's not always the case.

Moon Destructions: Moon Destructions or MDs, are something that can wreak havoc on your account and in general are rare. If a MD occurs while you're fleet saving or conducting a mission from that moon and your fleet is exposed resulting in your fleet being crashed, you will be exempted from this rule. However, if your moon was destroyed and subsequently perform a unsafe fleet save or mission that exposes your fleet and you are crashed, then it will be considered under this rule.

Extraneous Circumstances: Circumstances that you cannot control which impede your ability to 1) communicate with the alliance for assistance or 2) login to Ogame. These include but certainly not limited to the following: Deaths, Family Matters, Other Disasters (fire, flood, earthquake, tornado, hurricane, loss of power, etc...).

Very true wolverine. However, this document outlines how you can fleetsave with and with out moons.

FYI, a recalled deployment fleet save is the only fleet save that cannot be phalanxed on a planet. Now you can be phalanxed up until you recall the ships. Once that recall button executes, your ships can no longer be seen.

Also, this policy brings to light the fact that DRoA does not have a moon shot account and that not everyone has a moon. To remedy this, members of DRoA including myself and the other leaders, are going to have to take responsibility with assisting members that don't have a moon, get one. This may mean we ship resources to those players so they can build light fighters.
